Following the continuous End SARS protest across the state, the Ekiti state government has ordered the immediate closure of all public and private schools.

EndSARS: Ekiti State Shuts Down Schools

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology,  Dr Kofoworola Aderiye disclosed this in a statement issued by the Chief Information Officer, Abimbola Dada on Tuesday at the state capital.

He stated that the decision to close all schools was a proactive measure taken to safeguard the lives of the students, pupils, teachers and staff of the various academic institutions.

The Commissioner who said the closure was also to accommodate those who encounter difficulty in getting to their respective schools, said that schools will resume on the 26th of October.
